  • Monday: Opens at 8:00 AM for last-minute sign-ups

Important Notes:

  • The $25 late fee has been waived for in-person registration

  • No new registrations will be accepted during the Cherish the Ladies concert

  • If you’ve already registered, pick up your folder at the CD/Merchandise table during the concert

Catskills Irish Arts Week

Catskills Irish Arts Week – July 13–19, 2025

Celebrating 31 years as a week-long summer school of traditional Irish music, song, and dance in the heart of the Irish Catskills.


Special Event

  • Sunday, July 13th:
    CHERISH the LADIES – 40th Anniversary Concert
    Enjoy an evening with the legendary Cherish the Ladies as they return to the Catskills!

Class Schedule: July 14–19, 2025

  • Morning Classes: 10:00 am – 11:30 am
  • Afternoon Classes: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Dance Class Schedules:
    • Set Dancing (Padraig McEneany): 10:00 am – 12:15 pm, Shamrock House
    • Sean Nos Step (Jackie O’Riley): 10:00 am – 11:30 am & 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm, Reilly’s Pub
    • Contemporary Step Dancing (Regan Wick): 10:00 am – 11:30 am & 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm, Knights of Columbus

    Prior registration is required for all dance classes.

  • Class locations will be provided to registrants prior to Arts Week.
  • Tuition includes access to evening concerts and ceili dances. General public can join with a paid admission or week pass.

Lectures

  • Afternoon Lectures: 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm at The Shamrock House
    Explore topics in Irish music, dance, and culture.

Nightly Ceilis & Dance Events

  • Monday & Tuesday: 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Shamrock House
  • Thursday & Friday: 9:00 pm – Midnight, Shamrock House
  • Wednesday Barn Dance: 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm, Quill Festival Grounds
  • Admission:
    • CIAW registered students: Free entry
    • General public: $15 at the door per event
  • All dances led by Fear A TĂ­, Padraig McEneany.
  • Everyone is welcome—no experience necessary!

Evening Concerts

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
    Enjoy world-class performances at the McGrath Pavilion, MJQ Festival Grounds.

Sessions

  • Open music sessions and “Listening Room” performances at local pubs and resorts from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am all week.

Finale Festival

  • Saturday, July 19th: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Festival Grounds
    A full day of music, dance, and community celebration.
    Tickets can be purchased in advance; not included in student registration.

  • Ample parking at MJQ Festival Grounds and Tailteann Office (2267 Route 145, East Durham, NY 12423)
  • All venues are handicapped accessible; advance notice is appreciated for special needs.
